Team Suzuki GB Youth rider, James Dunn, demonstrated once again why many believe he has a very bright future in motocross, after riding to four great results in the Red Bull British 2-Stroke Championship at the weekend, at Silverstone Circuit's new motocross facility in Northamptonshire.

Running as a support event to the British MotoGP, the Red Bull 2-Stroke Championship round saw Dunn ride consistently well in all four races, after qualifying a promising fourth fastest against elder and more experienced rivals.

Impressing from the off, Dunn quickly took the lead in the opening race, before dropping back in the closing stages to take the final podium position. Race two would see Dunn recover from a poor start to just miss out on a repeat podium, claiming fourth, before a holeshot in the third race saw Dunn battle with leader Dave Willet, eventually settling for second place.  Topping his weekend off with a fifth place finish in the final race gave Dunn a great third overall.

Dunn commented, “Once again the RM125 ran very well. The pace was hot and the new track tricky, but I kept my head down and managed to return some good results. The final race was disappointing after better rides earlier in the weekend, but to finish just one point adrift of second spot in the standings isn’t too disappointing.”

Team manager, Paul Butler, commented, “A good weekend for James. We’re used to him on the top step of the podium, but in this very competitive arena it’s an excellent result. We’re all now focussing on the next round at Whitby.”
