Josh Coppins rides for Mojo DH team! Only joking! Although Josh did ride one of our Team Mojo/Orange DH bikes for a recent magazine feature. The feature is an MX stars ride MTBs story from ‘Angry’ Geoff Walker at Dirt Bike Rider magazine, it follows on from Geoff’s MX stars do surf feature last year and Geoff’s re-discovery of DH racing at this year’s Master’s World Chumps... Apparently JC was ‘on it’ straight away and SOBP (Stoked On Being Pumped) to be riding such a ‘rad’ machine – he didn’t want to give it back!

Top British DH rider, Brendan ‘Brendog’ Fairclough was there and was showing JC the skills involved in DHing which mostly involve spending hours searching for a ‘magic line’ down the trail (shortcuts that avoid all the corners by Geoff’s estimation!). He was using the ‘MX’ style, right up over the bars even over the jumps! This was causing some consternation amongst the onlookers who thought front wheel landings on DH bikes are not necessarily the fashion!!! He did manage to stay totally upright and impressed the other MTBers with his speed and bravado – rumour has it no-one believes he’s not done it before! Every run was timed and the results, will be published in the next issue of DBR magazine available in the shops next week!
