Can’t go anywhere without bumping into a Fox Rider!
Mojo’s itinerant, Moto riding technicians decided that a day riding a frost covered Apex track in Worcs would beat ligging around at home or watching footy down the pub so they loaded up the Mojo Sprinter and headed off into the permafrost.
Whilst unloading they bumped into Danny Stayte, a rider local to Apex who we’ve helped out since his 85cc days. As you can see, he’s too tall for an 85 now but is right at home on his RMZ250 with Fox Podium RC3 shock. He’s only had a a couple of chances to ride it but is already over the moon with the performance! Although Danny hasn’t touched the shock adjusters from stock Fox settings he already feels there’s an advantage over the stock Suzook shock everywhere. The feel on the bumps is plusher and the traction on flat turns is improved. At a recent muddy day out he thought it was kicking a bit on the worst of the holes, but when viewed from the side of the track it was clear he was having a much easier time that everyone else and that it was just a really bad day for the track... He was blown away by how easy it was to change the sag to suit using the new Fox F.A.S.T. spring preload system – another boost on muddy days.
On our icy Mojo day at Apex Danny tested the bottom out control system by coming up short on the 80ft step up (hey, it’s all in the name of science!!), he was absolutely sure that on the stocker he would have bounced and crashed, but all he got was a bit of ribbing for the ‘whisky throttle’ and a pleasant surprise to be still on two wheels and still circulating! By the way, if you were there, our lads were probably the slow ones riding around at the back. Remember, they are dedicated to testing and we have to test the shocks for all speeds of rider! Hee, hee...
