The eyelet bushes on a Fox shock are designed to allow rotation of the shock in one plane. They are designed as the sacrificial parts in a high stress environment!! If your bushes didn't wear, something else more expensive would. Also, if you allow your bushes to get really bad before changing them, they can do damage to other parts. And you can bet your bottom dollar those parts will be more expensive than the Bush kit!

Do yourself and your bike a favour and keep your bushes in tip-top nick (that goes for the linkage and swingarm bearings too!) A full bush kit with aluminium reducers for both eyelets and glacial (DU) bearings for both eyelets costs just £19.50 and restores eyelet movement to 'as new'...
There is a heavy duty, DH steel bush kit option on some bikes (Kona DH/ Out of bounds, Spesh Enduro, Santa Cruz Bullit, etc..) and some bikes will only accept a heavy duty steel bush (Intense M1, Santa Cruz S8, Club roost DH8, etc...) This costs £26.50 and includes 2x reducers in ally, 2x Du bearings and 1 steel bush.

NOTE: There are different types of bushings out there, we will normally send the latest type. We send complete kits, so if anything doesn't match what you have already, the chances are you need to replace the whole kit. Manufacturers are also prone to changing bush sizes from production run to production run within the yearly model cycle, for this reason we will sometimes appear to have made a cock up! In this case simply contact us with bike and ruler in hand and we will establish what you need and simply swap them straight out for you!

To make the job of pressing the glacial bearings both out and in easier, we have a tool to do it for you. You don't even need a vice (though the tool will last longer the less you have to improvise and hit with hammer...).
