TALAS™ – Short for Travel Adjustable Linear Air Spring, TALAS does just what the name implies. It can be adjusted via a 12-click knob atop the left leg between 95 and 130mm travel. It features a secondary air chamber controlled by an independent floating piston to create a spring rate that is as smooth and linear as a coil spring. It's initial air pressure settings remain the same regardless of where the travel is set, while the spring rate adjusts automatically to each different travel setting – increasing to compensate for greater bottom out resistance in shorter travel settings, decreasing for more active performance in long travel mode. It offers coil spring performance with light air spring weight. Fox TALAS equipped forks just might be the most versatile forks on the market.

ProPedal™ – The role of ProPedal technology is to provide pedaling efficiency with unsurpassed bump absorption. ProPedal gives you the low speed compression damping you need to stabilize your bike against rider induced “bob” without sacrificing critical mid- and high- speed damping. For 2005, Fox has refined its user-friendly, factory set ProPedal damping (factory set means Fox has worked with your bike manufacturer and did its homework so you can focus on your ride), making its shocks capable of reacting smoothly and efficiently in terrain ranging from square edged ruts to monster g-outs, and everywhere else in between.

Boost Valve™ – Fox's patent pending Boost Valve technology creates a position sensitive damping scheme, allowing for seamless transitions from efficient ProPedal to unparalleled square edge bump absorption to a bottomless end of stroke feel.  Found in our new DHX, Boost Valve technology provides the critical and differentiated decoupling of the ProPedal and Bottom Out Control adjustments – allowing pedal platform adjustments to be done separate from your bottom out setting through the ease of twisting a knob.  Finally, not only is this the King Dog of adjustable gravity defying performance, but it's also the lightest coil sprung shock in its class.  There's nothing else like it out there.
AVA™ – Not all suspension designs are the same, and not all riders want the same spring rate. Fox Air Volume Adjustable (AVA) air spring technology addresses these different needs. When fully open, the AVA canister is a large bodied air shock, offering a linear, coil-emulating spring rate that delivers plush and smooth travel. As the AVA adjustment is screwed down, the volume of air in the shock decreases, and the spring rate consequently becomes more progressive and resistant to bottoming out. The ability to fine tune the progressiveness of the spring curve in conjunction with infinite air pressure tunability allows a rider to tune this shock perfectly to the type of suspension it is used on, as well as the type of terrain it is being ridden on.
