V2 Springs

EXT's superlight V2 springs started off as a result of a collaboration with Motorsports Giants Honda Racing Corporation. The result was a new alloy for a steel spring which is lighter and more durable than titanium. We have tested these springs on our 'spring rate tester' and they come up within 1 or 2% every time. Very well made quality product with adaptors for RS, F*x, Ohlins, Can Creek and others...

Now at a new version the V2 is even lighter than previous 'Superlight' springs. Easier to understand safe travel ratings are incorporated in the new spring names... Any damper that has up to 65mm travel can use the C65 springs and anything with a greater travel than that will need the C75 springs. As the springs are already lighter we have seen some customers preferring to go with the longer C75 springs on their 230x65 dampers because it looks cooler! Some people can't get their heads around the fact that the V2 spring as short as it is can cover the travel necessary!! RockShox users will probably have to step up to the C75 anyway because the amount of the thread on the damper body won't accommodate the shorter V2 springs...

Spring rates from 600lbs upwards are more expensive and come with strengthening washers to use on preload collars and spring clips...



OK, OK! So it says 378! You try getting that inch readout on the vernier to exactly 1.000 inches ;-) It's like trying to put a tenner exactly in the tank when all you have is a tenner ;-)
